ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

The Scholarship Committee of Teachers Training College (B.Ed.), Aalo is an institutional statutory body constituted in accordance with the Regulatory Ordinances of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, and the normative framework of ERC-NCTE, New Delhi. The Committee ensures equitable access to financial assistance, merit recognition, and socio-economic inclusion for students pursuing teacher education.

Its core mandate is the administration, scrutiny, and recommendation of applications for Central, State, and Institutional scholarships. It guarantees procedural transparency, eligibility verification, and timely submission of documentation as per the guidelines of affiliating and recognizing authorities.

The Committee maintains updated records, conducts awareness drives, and disseminates information on fellowships, minority scholarships, and merit-cum-means grants. It collaborates with District Education Offices, State Nodal Agencies, and University Scholarship Cells to ensure disbursal and audit compliance.

It also identifies and recommends deserving candidates for institutional awards and endowment scholarships. Periodic reports are submitted to IQAC and the Governing Body. Thus, the Scholarship Committee ensures financial equity, meritocracy, and administrative propriety in accordance with RGU and ERC-NCTE norms.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
  1. To ensure equitable distribution of financial assistance as per RGU Statutes, NCTE Guidelines, and Government norms.
  2. To maintain transparency and procedural integrity in scrutiny and approval of scholarship applications.
  3. To disseminate timely information about Central, State, and Institutional scholarships and fellowships.
  4. To identify and recommend deserving candidates based on merit-cum-means and socio-economic criteria.
  5. To maintain a digital repository of scholarship applications, disbursements, and compliance reports.
  6. To liaise with District and State authorities, University cells, and NSP for verification and fund transfer.
  7. To promote awareness on financial literacy and scholarship eligibility among students.
  8. To submit annual reports to IQAC and Governing Body ensuring regulatory compliance.
FUNCTIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
  1. To administer scholarship processes as per RGU Ordinances, NCTE frameworks, and Government schemes.
  2. To scrutinize and verify applications ensuring merit-cum-means and eligibility compliance.
  3. To maintain digital scholarship databases and audit-ready records.
  4. To coordinate with State Nodal Officers, District Education Departments, University Cells, and NSP.
  5. To organize awareness programmes on scholarships, fellowships, and financial aid.
  6. To recommend deserving candidates for institutional and endowment scholarships.
  7. To prepare periodic analytical, financial, and compliance reports for IQAC and Governing Body.
  8. To ensure statutory compliance, transparency, and ethical governance in scholarship operations.
